A Christian Responds to Richard Dawkins' Famous Statement About God

May 12, 2020

Richard Dawkins famously said, "[God is] a vindictive bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser, a misogynistic, homophobic racist, an infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." Here, I'll respond to some of those claims in light of the INTERNAL CRITIQUE Dawkins implies.

The History of Apologetics from the 3rd to 13th centuries

May 4, 2020

Whether you're a Christian, an atheist, a Muslim, or something else, most of our ideas are not new. Much of what skeptics and believers produce in terms of arguments are merely reformulations of ideas from the history of philosophy. In this video, we'll not only take a look at the major contributions of major Christian thinkers in the history of apologetics but also cover some modern defenses built on their thinking. This video was originally produced as part of a course at Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary. If you would like to begin your theological Journey at Trinity, contact us today at Contact@Trinitysem.edu or call 812-602-3320.

Seminary Professors Respond to Questions from Atheist Hemant Mehta.jpg

Seminary Professors Respond to Questions from Atheist Hemant Mehta

April 6, 2020
  • If your child were dying, and I hope that never happens, would you just pray for them or would you take them to a doctor? And if you'd do both, which one do you think has more of an impact?

  • Whose prayers does God answer? And if it's ultimately His Will, why bother praying?

  • If you have cancer, what would help you more: Certain drugs, or prayer?

  • If you had an amputated limb, would prayer ever bring it back?

  • If you have an exam coming up, what would contribute more to a higher score: Prayer or more studying?

  • If you prayed for me over YouTube right now, do you think I would know it?

  • What matters to God more: The number of people praying or the quality of their prayers? If quantity matters, shouldn't the most popular team always win the Super Bowl? If quality matters, why do people you love sometimes die no matter what you do?

  • Is it possible that your prayers have no supernatural effect and only serve to make you feel better? Would you ever admit it if that were true?

  • Is there anything in your life that makes you doubt God's existence?

  • How would your life change if you had serious doubts about God's existence?

  • Was Jesus white?

  • Why does God seem more likely to answer the prayers of a talented athlete than a starving child overseas?

  • Why does God seem to hate Africa?

  • If a group of Africans swooped into your community with the intention of converting you and your neighbors to their tribal faith, what would your reaction be?

  • Does God speak to you?

  • If God spoke to you and told you to kill someone, would you do it?

  • Is God always watching you? How about when you're on the toilet?

  • How do you respond when someone who's not a Christian tells you about their religious faith? Do you listen and consider what they have to say or do you just ignore them because they don't believe what you believe?

  • What do you make of Muslims who think the Koran is the true holy book? Are they wrong? Have you read the Koran? Why do you dismiss them so easily?

Seminary Professors Respond to Atheist, Hemant Mehta's 78 Questions for Christians

April 6, 2020

God's not dead, but is he fair? Why would he allow good atheists to go to hell, and bad Christians to go to heaven? Hemant Mehta has 78 questions for Christians, and most of them challenge the justice of God as he is described by Christians. An Atheist Tries to Explain The Bible.jpg

An Atheist Tries to Explain the Bible

April 6, 2020

Stephen Woodford of the channel "Rationality Rules," recently gave his take on the general story of the Bible from the garden to the cross. He provides an analogy of two sisters treated cruelly by an idiot father, that he thinks mirrors the biblical narrative. Does this account resemble an accurate and academic treatment of the Christian story, or is it more akin to South Park? You decide.

March 21, 2020

Social distancing has become a new buzz word. School, work, church, concerts, theaters, and much else has been canceled. Some atheists think this is proof God doesn't exist.
